Finding (Free) Patterns

Finding (Free) Patterns

Hello Fellow Stitchers!

Okay, so you have the tools you need and you're ready to take on a project.  Where do you go from here?

Since you already have your tools, you probably don't want to buy a kit off the internet.

There are a few places that have great patterns and instructions for free!

One of my favorites is DMC Embroidery Patterns.  You need to create a log in to download the patterns but there are tons of different designs and skill levels.

Another great site is Anchor.  Apparently DMC bought the company in 2023 but they still operate independently.  You'll need to create an account to check out but this site also has different designs and skill levels.

There is also Zweigart, which is a German company.  I have to change the language when I get on the website!  You don't have to sign up/log in to get patterns but make sure that they are for embroidery, not needlepoint.

There are tons of other sites out there that you can look for already created patterns.  If you're willing and want to support small shops, you can always go to Etsy.  Just make sure you don't end up with an AI created product.  We can go into that another time....

See you soon!

Ally
