7 Qs to Ask Yourself - Taking stock of your materials…

Hi Stitchers-

If you are anything at all like me, you have a really neat craft room, with all of your materials organized by color.  

Ha, just kidding.  I don't have a craft room.  I have a craft house or craft rooms.  And I generally have a hard time finding that one thing that I bought that one time.  Anyone else?

While I haven't mastered the "art of tidying up" and probably never will, I do like the occasionally take stock of the materials that I'm regularly using and trying to get rid of what I know I'll never use.  (I try to take it back to the Art Re-Use store and let someone else find joy with it).

If you're in the same boat that I am in, here are some questions to ask yourself when looking around your craft space:

1. Do you like the color of this? (Thread, fabric)
2. Is this the quality of materials that I want to use?
3. Do you like a wood or plastic hoop?
4. Do you have cheaper materials (from when you first started?
5. Do you have extra scissors/needles/needle minders/threaders that are taking up space?
6. Do you like the feel/age/design of the fabric?
7. Can you see yourself using this item in a future project?

Even if you'll never have the neatest space, it'll feel good to clear out the stuff you don't use.  

Plus, it will give you more space for new stuff ;)
