What is Multi Media Art?

Hello Stitchers-

I'm in create mode!  I've finished a bunch of projects lately and pretty much all of them have used multiple materials.  All of them utilize repurposed materials too.  

Mixed media textile art blends embroidery with layered materials — repurposed fabrics, paper, beads, paint, and found textures — to create richly dimensional pieces. Each element adds depth and character, transforming simple cloth into art with history, texture, and meaning.

The reasons that I personally like creating with multiple media:

• I love using materials that have history and/or memories
• Using reclaimed materials is better for the enviroment
• My creativity has no bounds 

At this point in my embroidery journey, I find it hard to just use embroidery floss and just follow a pattern.
