What is slow stitching?

What is slow stitching?

Hi Stitchers-

Are you curious about what slow stitching is and what it entails?

Slow stitching is a mindful, hand-sewn approach to embroidery that prioritizes process over perfection.

Using simple stitches and natural pacing, it encourages creativity, texture, and personal expression without rigid rules.

The focus is on slowing down, working intuitively, and letting each stitch build meaning over time.

If even following a pattern overwhelms you, you might want to check out slow stitching.  Some of us just need something to keep our hands busy and love the process.  Others love the randomness of the final piece.  Some of us never "finish" the piece.

Do you slow stitch and didn't know there is a name for it?  I'd love to see your pieces that you're working on.

Best-

Ally

PS - my example has a few beads in it
